What Thrymo doesn't do

You'll never type 20% here. A percentage of an income that moves tells you nothing useful: 15% of a lean month and 15% of a good one are two different numbers, and neither says what you can spend at the till today.

Here it's always money. Rent is 100 and stays 100, even in a month when more comes in.

Two cycles of different lengths or different income aren't comparable, and setting them side by side just manufactures guilt aimed at the wrong thing.

The comparison is always against the target you set: did what you budgeted for groceries actually last? That question has an answer.

Plenty of apps let you switch the budget off and keep the list of expenses. Not here, on purpose: with no split to measure against, logging expenses is keeping a diary, not running your money.

There's no server, so there's no sign-up, no password and no syncing between devices. The reasonable worry — what if I lose my phone — is answered by the backup, which you can encrypt and keep wherever you like.

No streaks to break, no red alarms chasing you, no commentary on your willpower. The gap is shown and never corrects the next cycle; a category's verdict informs and blocks nothing.

It's the decision holding up all the others: an app that judges you gets closed and deleted, and a closed app helps nobody.
